Different Sensibilities

Call it body-mind programming, anchored human personality traits, social conditioning, or blame it on the outdated tumbling global paradigm if you may, but we humans in modern society are typically limited by the social standards of how we should live our lives, what we should aspire to, how we should feel about things.

All along our history though, there have been rebels and geniuses and all sorts of changes in our social points of views, and so these standards are always changing... And also all along have there been people with what I like to call "different sensibilities", ranging from pre-birth conditions or syndromes or tendencies, to simply having a very different perspective on life than your every-day neighbor or being absolutely disconnected from what we normally call reality or common sense, or swapping between alternate realities or personalities.

"Disabled people", "catatonic people", "schizophrenic people", "crazy people"... While ancient and shamanic cultures would consider these persons as blessed and sent to this world to communicate or express messages from higher powers, in our modern western culture, they have mainly been tagged, rejected, isolated and treated as diseased. But then again, times are thankfully changing and we must be part of the change.

Me, I always related to all sorts of different sensibilities, myself having to live with my own little case of depression since I was very young and learning a lot on the way since my family plainly ignored any symptoms and rejected the mere idea of me being depressed (most probably because it was not well seen socially) and discarding it as a teenage issue thus leaving me to figure it all out on my own.

There is a lot of ignorance and a lot of misconception about depression. I know my parents meant no harm and at least I can say I was lucky enough to have a supportive family in many other ways, but suffering from depression and it being ignored and rejected by the closest beings around you is actually a big part of the problem in many cases around the globe and that's why it's important to lay the cards on the table and talk about these issues some more.

Depression is not a disease or a normal symptom for trouble teenagers or melancholic people, but it is usually a sign that something must be healed. We can get used to survive in confusion or pain, often far away from our own soul or essence, but healing IS possible, and it can entirely depend on ourselves. We should always strive to be honest about our feelings and not be scared of coming out and asking for help.

We are usually not alone. Usually not as alone as we certainly feel. But as I said before, there IS still a lot of social rejection and misunderstanding, and there is still a lot of isolation, and this is something I am also trying to stand for. If anything, there is me, you can contact me very easily, I finally decided to come out and make the calling to take over the internet -because there isn't only me, and that's the whole point. I am here to call out for help because we need each other. I want to create a real network of people who believe in the same things and want to get into help mode and help others or ask others for help. A free network where we only talk about things that matter in our new paradigm.

No matter the tendencies of the body or the mind, or the habits they have acquired in the past, our body and our minds are ours and for us to command and use them as we want and not the other way around.

One of the main reasons why I'm here is because I know that all of us have the power to change and that we can literally transform not only ourselves but the reality we share. We have the freedom to go the right way, to make different choices. I believe in the quest for peace, I believe in taking care of the planet where we live. Some people think all this is enough to discard anything I say.

But I'm still here. Calling out for anybody who is resonating with me. Anybody out there?
